How to create a curved ramp?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could have a go at modelling this part?  I'm having trouble with it.  Essentially it's a cylinder that has a curved ramp face on one end.  I hope the included part shows enough so you can understand what I need.  Thanks very much.

-edit- By the way, this is a 2015 part.

I'm not 100% sure what your intent was. My two attempts are attached. Go to your top view and create a sketch on the bottom plane on the inside of the part. project the inside circle on to the sketch. finish sketch. extrude the circle sketch as a surface. trim the extruded cylinder surface with your existing ramp surfaces as the cutting tool. Then stitch all the surfaces to get your solid.

Perfect! dooddad_2 was right on the money. Looks like I was only missing a couple of steps. Thanks kennyj.

No problem, Glad I could help! In doodad_2, I offset the surface (0.125") that I created the sketch on so that there was some material below the sketch surface to become solid, then I had to create a boundry patch on the bottom of the extruded cylinder surface. The idea is to create a water tight volume of surfaces before stitching the surfaces together to get your solid.

Wasn't that a little too much work?  (see attached)

Seemed like to me that it could be modeled with only 2 dimensions and 2 features.

Thanks JD, this is really good. I've actually never used the Coil function in the modelling tab, I've only used the Helical Curve function in 3D sketches. The fact that I started from there probably made things more complicated than they should have been.
