How to copy assembly driven by Excel file?

Hello

I have an assembly consisting from several parts each of which is driven by parameters written in Excel file.

I would like to copy this assembly within the same project and make the copy of Excel file and make this assembly to be driven by copied Excel file.

I need to open each file than delete and add new path for new link to copied Excel file.

Seems too boring…Can I do it easier? I mean without need to opening each file?

Regards,

Orest Yavtushenko

best way I know, is to rename your original XLS file temporarliy to "hide" it from Inventor. Then open the new copy assembly and when Inventor asks you where it is, simply point it to the new copy XLS file. Then save the new assembly to set the links, and then rename the original XLS back to what it was, so the original assembly can find it the next time it is opened.

Than you

That works.

There are some "bypass" tricks to copy assembly consisting the Frame generator stuff but finally it is working in the "hide - reassing" way
