How to autofill iProperties to each part throughout an assembly?

When I make an assembly, I fill out the iProperties, which will then autofill the title block in my drawing. I want the iProperties (such as material, cost center, etc.) to be reflected in each part, so the part drawings have the title blocks correctly autofilled. Should I use iLogic? A macro? Or is there a setting that I'm unaware of?

Hi! I believe the "auto-fill" iProperties in titleblock workflow depends on the source model (part or assembly) of the first view created on the given sheet. If it was set up correctly, it should work for a part or an assembly likewise. The very first view you place on the sheet will have its iProperties propagated in titleblock for the sheet.

Something may not be set up correctly. Please feel free to share an example or the drawing template you are using. Forum experts can help take a look and provide further guidance.

Many thanks!

Johnson,

I have no issue with the autofill feature in the drawings. What I want to do is only fill out the iProperties one time on my full assembly, as opposed to filling them for all my parts of the assembly.

Bhavik,

Thanks, I don't have any experience with iLogic, but I'll give that a shot once I have some downtime.

Hi! I am sorry I don't think I understand your request properly. Do you elaborating what you meant by "filling out the iProperties one time on my full assembly"? What about Copy iProperties workflow? Open the drawing file (or template). go to Tools -> Doc Settings -> Drawing -> Copy Model iProperty Settings. The model iProperties will be copied to the drawing iProperties. Is this what you are looking for?

Many thanks!
