How does Splitter tool work in FORMS?

I can't figure this one out. I would assume it would make columns?

The splitter is not particularly visible in this theme.

Hi @troyostrander 

To answer your question directly: no, the Splitter tool doesn't make columns.

A Splitter is just a draggable boundary. If you place it between groups, the user can drag that line to resize areas in the active form.

To actually make columns (place parameters side-by-side), you need to use the Row element. Just drag a Row into your form, and then drop your parameters inside it.

Like Ihor stated above, you can arrange the form editor like this (notice row one components are tabbed differently in the editor vs. row 2 items):
