How do I restore the icons????

OK, don't know how I did this...  But the icon "panels" have been removed or turned off.  If I select a menu (say SKETCH), I get a panel underneath, but it is not anything I recognize.  How can I restore the panels?

So I fixed this....

Why is it that after trying to correct this for 30 minutes and getting nowhere, and then posting a request for help, I am suddenly able to find what I'm looking for and make the adjustment myself???

What I found is to right click the menu bar.  then select Ribbon Appearance. Then select Normal.

Happens to me too.  Don't sweat it.  We have all been there.

Probably because like me, jump the gun, want answers now and too impatient to try and figure it out on my own.  Then after posting we can't wait for a response so we start digging ourselves anyway.    

FYI, there is also this if you RC on the ribbon.
