How do I make an associative mirrored assembly?

Not applicable

In a large assembly, I mirrored a sub assembly and later added holes in the original parts, but they do not show up in the mirrored parts.

How do I make a mirrored sub assembly associative?

One thing you need to understand is when you mirror parts in an assembly, it creates a completely different file/part.  So, what ever you do in the original part will not show up in the mirrored part.  If you do, then you are going to have to create the mirrored condition persea outside of this assembly then insert that part fresh.

Or, like Mike said, just select the part in the assembly browser, and edit it to add the needed holes.

Hi! It depends on what options you chose when doing the mirror. If you select "New Component" option as opposed to "Reused" option, the newly added features to the mirror source will not reflect in the mirrored components. It is because the mirrored compononets are indepdent of the source components. If you choose "Reuse" option, then the newly added features should also be in the mirrored side, because the same component definition is referenced on each side.

If you still cannot figure it out, could you attach a simple example here?

Thanks!
