How do I create a tee on a tube and pipe run?

Hello all,

I am trying to add a tee on the end of the pipe shown below, so that it branches off in two directions. I can't seem to find a whole lot of help on the tube and pipe side of Inventor. If anyone can show me how to do this, that would be great!

Thanks!

Hi, you should be able to just place the appropriate Tee fitting from you Content Center, using Connect at the end of the pipe run, and then create two new routes from the new connection points.  Another option is to continue the existing route with a 90 degree bend, which will give you an Elbow by default.  You can then use Replace Fitting to change the Elbow to a Tee, and then start a new route from the end that is not already following the existing route.

If you are just getting started with Tube & Pipe, I offer you three classes I did years ago at Autodesk University that explain many of the basics.  I hope they help!
