So I'm selecting a washer from a list of washers I've created as custom CC part.  I don't really have separate materials, there's different finishes.  So I wouldnt have tons of different materials.  However I don't have a good way to identify which washer I'm looking at unless I alter how my company labels part numbers.  Is there anyway to add another column (preferrably from custom iProps).

If I'm understanding you correctly, you need to edit your family table and use key columns. It will help in selection, even if it just a visual:

Hope that helps

Key columns are correct.  This happens when I try to select the appropriate finish when using the design accelerator: bolted connection.  If I need to swap from steel to black painted I have to look it up or just memorize an entire catalog of McMaster carr parts.  If I could add the key column in the Content Center part to the same lookup it'd be a huge help.

This is a screenshot of putting the washer in using content center.  I can't view the same material properties key when I insert a washer using Design Accelerator.  DA defaults to one of the washers and when I attempt to change it I get the previous table that I don't have the ability to alter.

Good day all!

In the Bolted Connection tool, the key columns are not a part of the selection (which you already noticed). 😄  However, once you have selected a component, you can click on the Ellipsis (...) next to the component and it will open up all column options from the Family Table for that part, allowing you to decide which option you want.  Not the entire table, but only those lines related to the size you selected in the Design Accelerator.  Here is a screen shot...

Sorry all, my reading skills failed me lol. I completely overlooked the fact you were asking about Bolted Connections. I don't use them, so I was just thinking of placing fasteners manually..DOH!
