How can I move my train along a track?

In my engineering class we are building trains. An extra part of the project was to build a track for that train. I want to do even more than that and make the train go on the track. In every other place I looked it mentioned a "dummy track". I don't know what this is or how to make one. I would like some advice. Thanks

This topic has been discussed numerous times on here.  In the search field type in "Train Track" and go through each relevent thread.

A 'dummy track'  is essentially a path you create for the train to follow.  It can be very simple in design, shape, etc...

Also search on PLTW or project lead the way train.

Dummy track is a surface body part that you hide the visibility.

Your instructor should be able to demonstrate this technique to you.

You might need to look back five or six years.

I built this a long time ago and know that I posted suggestions (since this >>IS<< supposed to be something that YOU do, not us).
