How can i make this flowing water?

In the video at the bottom of the link, at the 0.50min mark there is made something that looks like water spraying from nozzles.
Can i make this in Inventor? If so, how?

Hi!

Most of the time, these kind off effects are post-processed with other software like 3Dmax, or with video editors.

 The main purpose of CAD software is to produce documentation. Of course, we can do some simple animations but don't expect options to do fancy cinematic stuff.

But often you can use "tricks" to make it seem more animated.

Like this tube with water in it.

I thought there might be a way to do the same with nozzlespray?

I didnt said there's no possible, i just refering that most odf times what we see isnt purelly the result of a CAD program, others programs are involved to a better final result.

Back to your issue;

To do that, i would create a multisolid. One solid would be the Pipes, the other solid, would be the water. (choose a clear color for water)

You have to design the water, the water would be an extrusion with taper to create the triangle. Rename the extrusion Distance parameter

In render environment, animate the extrusion parameter and check the result.

Hi! Inventor is a 3D feature-based parametric solid modeler. It is meant to create high-precision digital twins for manufacturing purpose. Every point on a model is precise up to 0.00001mm and every point is measurable.

You will encounter difficulties when you try to use it for other purposes, since it is not designed to tackle such demand. I suggest you may want to look in to 3D Max or Maya.

I guess i have hit the limit of Autodesk Inventor then 🙂

I have made fan sprays before, but dont know how to make them seem animated.

They are just flat.

You could potentially fake it pretty well within Inventor based on that setup -- why not try and do a circular pattern of the water triangle you have there now, and make more of a cone out of it. Then have a motion constraint that causes it to rotate at the same time as the conveyor belt rolls. You could increase the revolution ratio, and it may start to blur the edges of the spinning cone. Might be worth a shot anyway, if you want to stay away from external software.

The nozzles used are Flat Fan Nozzles, not Cone Nozzles.

That would give the wrong impression to costumers.

I have done something similar to what you suggest in another project.

I am working on an automatic cleaning system for a big spiral freezer with 100+ Nozzles.

Sooo, that would take forever 😄

I have tried with less nozzle, but did not like the result.

Maybe i was not patient enough to change fade every sec?
