Home base button does not work

I recently installed the 2020.3 update and i found that the home button is broken. When I open inventor application the programme freezes and all that appear is a grey window with all the icons on top and the home tab at the bottom. 

I can open a part, assembly and IDW file individualy but when I close the tabs and press the home button the same problem occurs. The programme freezes. Inventor does not crash and closes.

Any ideas?

Hi! It is possible the My Home page was corrupted somehow. Our framework expert shared a trick with me. Here is what you do.

Close Inventor and go to File Explorer and the following folder. 

“C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Inventor 2020”

Delete "myhome.json"

Restart Inventor.

Does it work now?

Do you have any addin's or iLogic?

Hi! It sounds like your machine is blocked from accessing a web page (My Home is a local web page). Make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and follow the instruction below to see if it works better.

All the window updates are installed and I followed the instuction. I am now able to open Inventor application and is open successfully, but still when I then press the Home button Inventor freezes and the cursor is flashing.

Hey guys,.. try this.  Right click on the Inventor shortcut icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run as Admin... then try to open Inventor, does this help?

When you say the icons at the top still appear do you mean the buttons on the ribbon?
If you close the Home tab so that the home tab is no longer visible at the bottom and then press the Home button, does anything change?

Yes. Uninstall every update until 2020.3 (including) and try. I think this was what I did. Then reinstall them again.
