Hole Wizard - termination behavior - To

Hello,

Is there any option for next scenario? If we have tube and on the top, we add rectangular part. On the top surface on the rectangular feature, I want to set 4 holes. The tube and part on top are presented as one part. Is not important what type of hole is used, but where the hole will stop (See figure 1).

Blue selection is the inner wall of the tube and I want to leave enough material between the hole and the inner wall of the tube (see figure 2).

Is it possible to use or to be created a feature where it will define the minimum distance between those two points?

In this case I can create the hole and then measure the distance between the cone and the inner wall of the tube (see figure3).

This is testing model and any dimensions are for visualization of the issue.

Thanks,

Dimitar

Hi! I have seen this request before. You would like the hole to stop short right before the cylindrical face, right? Unfortunately, Inventor does not have an option doing that. You will need to either manually enter the distance. Or, use construction geometry and iLogic to find the shortstop distance.

Many thanks!
