Help with creating iPart pattern along a path

I remember watching a tutorial about generating an iPart that could dynamically be resized based on a path input. I've done it before, but I can't remember how I did it (I used it to populate and distribute wing ribs along a path using 3d lines. Which came in really handy as I could easily adjust the span, taper, twist, etc). I'm attempting to do a similar thing with baffles in a tank. Trouble is I can't remember how to do it. Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial?

Thanks!

I think I'm getting closer: It's not an iPart but iCopy I'm after it looks like.
