Help me project curved 3d figure to sketch (inventor)

I have a curved body made up of various surfaces which I need to project. 'Project geometry' just projected the edges in curved surfaces but not the 2d projection of what I am seeing. See attachment Capture_normal. Then see Capture_outcome. You can see that top part is not at all projected.

Also, I made a drawing but couldn't import in inventor's sketch properly. I used import ACAD option and selected the file and imported, but it just keeps on showing processing and nothing happens.

Hi! It is either a bug or a limitation. Without seeing the actual Inventor file, I have no way to tell. Could you share the file here? I would like to understand the behavior better.
