Hello,

How to draw in Autodesk inventor Helical Gear using Flex option (this option you can find in SolidWorks) below I put link to SolidWorks where this options allow to preper gear by rotation of existing solid. Where do i find this option in Autodesk?

@johnsonshiue Is there any way to obtain a precise tooth form for a helical bevel gear? There doesn't seem to be an "Export tooth shape" option for bevel gears, so I'm guessing this isn't possible, but I wanted to check.

Hi Chris,

If I understand how the Design Accelerator workflows work correctly, I don't think the machining precision is built in. You cannot take the model and machine or print as such. You will get interference.

The most precise method to model a gear requires Solid Sweep (2020 and later). It mimics a tool cutting the gear along a path. Design Accelerator does not leverage Solid Sweep.

Many thanks!
