Having issues with importing into Inventor.

Greetings,

As the title states, When importing a solid model (xml3d) into Inventor I'm having a prompt pop up that states - (problems encountered while saving the document), when clicking the OK button, I have to click it multiple times to finally close it (I click OK, the box closes , then immediately reopens, have to do this a few times). This box seems to pop up only while grounding parts, When I finally close the prompt, the grounding seems to take a long time. My exporting routine hasn't changed, nor has my importing but this has been going on for a week.

There is also an issue with importing, its not loading a part for some reason. Inventor will finally load the model without the part but giving the prompt that import was successful, which is false. I sent the file to a coworker and they have no issues with opening the file with all parts. Is there any advice out there.

Hi! I am sorry I am not aware of a file format called xml3d. What is the file? Are you sure Inventor supports it?

Many thanks!

I'm using an add-on from Codeware Compress. It exports as that file. With that add-on I can open the solid models with its details.

On attaching files to this forum, add that file to a zip file then you will be able to attach it here.

About the error you are receiving, it sounds like you need to seek assistance or support from whom ever created that add-on.
