Having an error while creating a part list in a drawing for a pattern mirror assembly

Hello,

I'm trying to do a drawing of a pattern mirror assembly. I have an error while creating the part list.

"Request Set BOM View Properties cannot be run on document ...". I tried to enable BOM directly in "Assembly" -> "Bill of Materials" and I have the same error. I'm using Inventor 2026.

Hi!

Can you share the model or post some prints from the BOM and the error?

Thank you for the screens.

I guess is related to the model states in part ...DPL-03...

Do you really need model states in this part? If not, try to delete them and stick only with the primary model state. (it's only a guess by checking the prints...)

Can you share the model here to try on my PC?

Only this sub assembly, not the entire model where is in....

Another shot in the dark... it's possible this files are in a project library folder? Or in a folder without write permissions?

Sorry, I cannot share it with you.

You can reproduce the error with a quick pattern mirror assembly and try to enable the BOM.

I just did that and have the same result.

Ok... i get what you mean...

It's probably a bug to be fixed...

You should Report it.

Thanks for taking the time

If I use your assembly. The problem happens when I try to do a standalone drawing of camValveIT_MIR not the assembly containing the mirror pattern.

With my assembly, I have the same result has you.

When I try to do a drawing of A-Test-G2-MIR alone it's not working.

Hi @sdesaulniers5K8HT,

The behavior does not look right to me. I tried a simple assembly but I cannot reproduce the behavior. Please share the files in zip with me directly at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the PartsList error better.

Many thanks!

Hi @johnsonshiue , Maybe you made the same mistake as me... the problem happens when we open only the mirrored model.
