@andrewdrothI like to be able to model them for the following reasons:
1. So it shows in the drawing automatically without using hatches, lines type, etc.
2. to perform various analysis depending on the type of cable components
3. it would improve the look of the model at a close up, without having to use a texture. Similar to the CoolOrange tool for Threads, that is an incredible tool; sure increases the file size, but on technical discussions it helps to provide a visual with the same tool being use to do a design.
4. In some cases there are suggested minimum bending radius suggested on conductors, and application on so on.
Luckily I only plan to show it initially in critical connection details for discussion, but I would go all the way if it were to be for a presentation. Not that the solid line looks bad, but I rather shoot for the moon when I can
