Glitch with text and dimensions

Hello everyone,

I Installed inventor on my last macbook pro via parallels and had the problem of not being able to see the value of dimensions. This problem appeared after upgrading to inventor 2016. On previous versions of inventor it worked perfectly.

After reading everything I could on these forums and others I put it down to graphics compatability and have now purchased the new 2015 2.5ghz mbp 15" with radeon graphics card.

Got inventor all set up and to my horror the exact same glitch 😞

Im bummed and have tried everything I can think of to fix it with no luck.

I have included a screenshot of my issue.

Please someone out there help me before I burn my expensive new laptop.

Cheers, Jarrad

Have you installed Update 2?

Try going to Tools>Application Options>Hardware tab and set to Software Graphics.  Does that help?

What number do you have Tools>Application Options>General tab  Annotation Scale set to?

JDmather, wow changing to software graphics made it work!

How do I go about making sure I have update 2 as I think with that setting im not using my graphics card? Is that correct?

You sir are a champ.

The update however did not fix the problem, it seems the only way to get proper function is to check software graphics. Am I correct in thinking that by having that checked I am not taking advantage of my graphics card?

What do you see when you go to Tools>Application Options>Hardware tab and click Diagnostics at the bottom center of the dialog box?

Edit:  Oops, I see you did that while I was typing.

Ideally you would see something like this:
