Looking for any ideas as to why the 2 lines shown circled in SECTION A-A bleed through into the view. These should be 2 short lines (1 top and bottom) to show the end of the thread, not a full line across. I can RMB on the 2 lines and turn Visibility off but this removes the entire line leaving nothing for the thread end which looks worse than leaving the 2 lines visible. I don't have Hidden Lines shown in the view but do have Thread Feature turned on.
I'll add a short workflow of the model shown as it may give a clue to the problem :-
- As external threads are not available in the assy envirnoment I have opened anad saved a Content Centre (CC) member that represents the material to make the part from and then derived that CC member into a part file and performed all of the editing there,
- I place both the CC part and the derived/edited part in the drawing. This is so I can create a PARTS LIST of the CC member, basically fudging the part file as if it were an assembly,
- I then suppress the view of the CC member (could just drag it off the sheet but i don't like floating stuff-personal preference).
Nothing too strange there hey? I suspect the use of the CC member and/or the derive couped with a thread is causing the problem.
