Gate placement ISSUE!

Hi,

I wanted to place a gate point on a part, but it wasn't placed where I would want it to be, so I tried to change its position on the specified edge. Every value I entered was considered invalid (marked red). My only option was to let it stay as inventor want and when I asked Inventor to suggest me the shrinkage of the part I've got an error message saying I didn't use the correct edge. This happened not only one time before in the previous version of the Inventor!!!

PLEASE DO NOT REPAIR WHAT IS NOT BROKEN!

You need to provide screenshots and/or the Inventor files so we can figure out what you are even referring to.  There's nothing even in your posting that we can use to help you.     Also share what Inventor version you are using.
