Neutral_banner.pngMonthly Modeling Assignment

December

What to model: Anything Christmas themed.

Details: Model anything Christmas themed for a special edition on the 21st of December.

You can show off your model in any of the Friday Pictures during this month.

Please use Inventor to model and feel free to share your part or assembly.

(remember to attach all files if you do, or share as a neutral STEP file)

Friday again, almost time for the Christmas holidays... but first some pictures!

I'm still trying to come up with something for next week's special edition, so i was messing about with the 3D sketch "curve on face" function...

Ended up making a tennisball... not even a perfect one as i didn't really know the correct shape for the line on such a ball and just eyeballed the dimensions. (model attached for anyone wanting to correct my mucking about. Smiley Wink)

Just a small render as i decided to add some hair&fur in 3DS Max and put it on a hair count of 1 million (per ball!) and it still looks a bit spotty.

(not sure if that's because it needs even more hairs or i messed up other settings...)

So, are you all looking forward to next week?

Do you have something to share with us today?

In any case, i hope you all enjoy the weekend!

(i know i will, as i'm starting my holidays when today is over. Smiley Very Happy)

Drug out an old model...rendered it in Inventor.

Changed some colors (green to red) and opened it in Fusion and rendered it there.

Someone in the office got a Structure Scanner that clips onto an iPad, was playing around with it and decided to make a quick print.

Happy friday all, have a good weekend.

Unless anyone has any one off suggestions I will be wrapping up my 12 days of CADMAS 2018, so it would be most apt to post the final render here:
