Frame generator - Alignment does not update after change to sketch part

Hello,

I am designing a model a sloped structure. The final slope will only be decided later. So I cretaed a paramter called slope in the master sketch.

When designing the frame, I orient some  members of the frame 90 degrees to other members. However, when I change the slope in the master sketch, the  members do not conserve to original 90 degree aligment between themselves. it is off by the amount I vary the slope.

Off what surface, feature or plane should I align the frame members so that they update correctly when changes in the master sketch are made ?

Anyone have any insights ?

It's difficult to know what is not working for you without a model - or an example of what is going wrong. (Your screenshot appears to show correctly oriented frame members at 90 degrees to each other).

As a general rule for anything sloped, I create a Workplane at the required angle - then create the sketch on that Workplane.  This means the sketch defines the rotation of all frame members.  I've found using the "Aligned" function (when placing frame members) somewhat unreliable when a frame changes.  Using sketch on a Workplane at the required angle hasn't failed me yet.

My sketch is applied to a work surface instead of a work plane. The slope
parameter drives the angle of the work surface. Do you think that is a
good approach?

These settings seem to do the trick: See image.....

That's ok - but this is the bit I have found unreliable when changing the angle of "anything" in your model:

If the sketch is created on the work surface (as opposed to a Workplane), then it should be perfectly Ok.  You shouldn't need to select the "Align" function - just leave it blank.
