I am trying to put a standard grind on a knife blade with the Angle/Distance chamfer tool. So far, it is champfering the blade all the way to where it will be seated in the hilt. I want to only grind it within .05" from the groove in the blade.

Hi TaylorLOLZ,

Here's a link to a past question on the same topic. At this link there is an example file attached that shows how to do this with a Loft feature:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

P.S.  Please look into the tutorials.  It would appear that most, if not all, of your sketches are not completely constrained.  Editing parts not properly modelled is extremely difficult.  (Fortunately, this one merely needed an additional feature.)  JD Mather has some very useful links in his signature too, last I checked.  Don't take this as harsh criticism.  We all started somewhere and were each new when we did.  Having said that, nice knife!

Thank you both. I had asked around some of my friends who were familiar with Inventor and they weren't much help. But both of you offered perfect solutions and I will try both.
