Hello.
First, sorry for my english...
I use Inventor 2015 than I introduce in our company. In the past, we was working with Autocad Structural Detailing and exporting tool for metal sheets worked well. It export a dwg with all metal sheet selected and past reference number, thickness, material and number of items to cut on each items. Wow! (See below)
My first problem is to find a way to past, at least, part number, thickness, material and a personalised parameter from BOM (group number) on the metal sheet exported in dwg or dxf.
My second problem : my assemblies are often componds with many same components. For example, my assembly is made with 3 "piece01" and 5 "piece02". How can I import these quantities to use it in detailed plans and during exporting flat pattern?
Am I clear???
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
I use custom symbols to my exports to parse the info from the part over to dxf/dwg

Hello Salariua and thank you for your response.
I can create custom symbol and collect infos than I would like to see but symbols doesn't appears in dxf.
I did export by "save as" => "save copy as" (see below). Is it the good way?
Is there a possibility to automated your solution for different flat pattern on an only one sheet?
Thank you.
Symbol creation
Export
Your option in the export dialog needs to be complete drawing not just "Model Geometry Only".("geometrie du modele uniquement").
Use my attached xml in the " Customize DWG/DXF " field and save this configuration with your custom name.
This will export just the outside line, symbols, and bend lines.
Hi Salariua,
Indeed, when the "Model Geometry Only" option is not active it works well.
By against, when I use your Customize DWG/DXF xml, the text from my user symbol don't appear. It's not a problème because of the existing FlatPattern suits me.
I also see than the text from my symbol is exported as a block. When I explode this block in dxf, the text become smaller, in relation with the layout scale in idw file. If I do my layout with 1:1 scale, the text from my symbol is not exported well (it don't correspond to the idw layout).
I will work for this.
Thanks
On the export options go to mapping, general and take off Convert Dfawing Symbols to Blocks. See it that fixes it.
I already have try this but It does not change.
I will work on this later and tell to you if I have found a solution.
Thanks.
