FEA files missing, can't check into Vault

I'm using Inventor Pro 2013. I'm trying to check an assembly into Vault that has FEA files associated to it. The files have been deleted, but some how they are still associated with the assembly. There are no links to break in the "Tools" tab and I deleted the file from the Stress Analysis environment and I still can't check the file in. The assembly was done by an intern who is no longer here. I have searched his hard drive for the files, but came up with nothing.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the suggestion. I read about the 3rd party files, but couldn't find them. They don't appear to be in the assembly anywhere. For clarification, I'm moving the files into Vault for the first time, which is why the FEA files aren't there to begin with.

Per this image:

Have you checked the link option and make sure they are no longer linked to the assembly

Hi Mark,

The "Links" button is grey for this file, there's no way for me to break the links that way. As you can see from the screen cap, the files appear when I try to check it into Vault. The only time I see the file names is when I open the file and when I try to check it in.

Take a look at the OLE LInk to Results Files option in the Stress Analysis Settings dialog.  Unchecking this option will stop Vault from grabbing the FEA results files.  The CAD model will keep all the FEA setup, so you can run it again if you need to review the results after checking the files into Vault.

You could re-run the analysis and re-create the missing result files if necessary.

Okay, I figured out why these steps weren't working. The FEA had been run on components IN the assembly, not to the assembly itself. The solutions you guys provided worked once I went into the individual parts and applied them. This is what I get for cleaning up after someone else. Thanks for the help!
