Falls after click on Styles and Bil of materials

Hello all,

I have a problem with Inventor 2016 and his falls. I Use Windows 10, INV 2016 SP2, 32 GB RAM in PC.

When i click:

a) (in Sheet metal template) on Edit unfold rule (or Styles editor), Inventor falls

b) (in Assembly template) on Bill of material, inventor falls

I try everything possible with Design data (use new DD, save styles to DD,...). Nothing helps. But Styles Editor in other templates work well

I try other templates from my colleagues - without difference.

I tried to play with the settings Inventor without difference.

Can you advice me please?

Thank you

-Milan

Milan,

When you say Inventor "falls" I assume you mean the software crashes and dumps you out.  My suggestion would be to try and open up the default out of the box sheet metal template and see if that opens and allows you into the styles.  If it does, then do a file save as copy of that one and recreate the one that appears to be corrupt.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your opinion. When I say Inventor "falls" I mean Inventor shuts down and starts window with unexpected error.

I used default templates and this solution doesn't work.

Is this window the Inventor crash report dialog or some other window with a message?

Actually that message is the Inventor crash report..  Smiley Wink

Also just for the future..  When you provide your crash report information..  It contains your personal information such as your serial #.  I will have the moderator remove the crash report info to protect your serial #.

The information in the report may indicate you have a corrupt Windows profile.  I might suggest having someone else log onto your machine and see if the problem still exist.  If it doesn't, then I would suggest running the Inventor Reset Utility under your profile.   There's a link to the utility in my signature and make sure to follow the steps in the linked article.
