Extruding sketch does not create body

Hi, I was tracing the outline of an image and made this sketch:

When I go to extrude this sketch, it lets me select the profile. But the extrusion doesn't make a body

(After extrusion is an empty screen; no bodies were created as expected)

How can I fix this issue so that I can extrude the sketch?  Thanks!

You have a self-intersecting loop near the front bumper in this area.. Fix that and it extrudes just fine.

Not a good one that I'm aware of.. I just zoom in and pan around till I find it.. I suppose you could add geometry to fence off certain areas to limit you down to certain zones or other similar tricks like that..

Whenever an Extrude does not automatically highlight a profile area - switch to Surface output.

Error is identified - just need to locate the self-intersection...

The Extrude was showing with arrow the selected profile... (loop)...
