As I know, Inventor has CIP data gathered from users to indicate if some functionalities are used. And for Extrude command, there is one attribute in CIP data is designed to show if user has used taper (either regular or asymmetric) in his extrusion creation.

However, I think the CIP data is offical information, and we cannot get it directly. So, if you want get the detailed information, you can contact the CIP owners.

Very rarely, less than 1% of times that I use the Extrude tool.  I typically prefer to add a draft feature so it's easier for others (and me!) to follow, but there are times when the taper option makes things much simpler.

Often, maybe as much as 5 - 10%. I also use draft quite a lot. I do plastic parts primarily.

And the heads up display arrow thingy, absolutely never. Totally user unfriendly, in my opinion.

More lately than I had previously and probably quite a bit going forward as I'm working with more and more cast parts.

I estimate 5-10% of my extrudes are tapered.

I use it quite often as many parts I design are cut on EDMs.
