Exporting ALL Levels of Structured BoM

I've tried the Inv online Help, to no avail 

I need an exported version of the BOM.

I need it to be Structured and I need ALL Levels.

I know how it's supposed to happen, but it doesn't 

The "Export all levels" radio button is ALWAYS greyed out 

If I'm doing something wrong, please tell me the correct way.

Or fix the bug.

Hi! Something does not look right. Please go to Manage -> Rebuild All. Then open BOM table -> disable Structured View and enable it. Is Export button enabled?

Thanks Johnson, that procedure did not produce any different results. Unfortunately, this is the top level of a large assembly, so that is difficult to share, both size and NDA wise.

It shouldn't have anything to do with it being an iAssembly would it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found this post. The structured export is supported on iAssemblies.

Hi! iAssembly is meant to be used as library components. As a result, its own BOM usually isn't for documentation purpose. As a result, the Structured All-Level view and the Part Only view are not supported. You may place the iAssembly member to a new assembly. There the Structured All-Level view and the Part Only view will be available.

I can not do that since I am not the original poster for this thread. But that workaround does work.

@Ethibaudeau , We also use iAssemblies here for more than library parts. We use them for entire product designs. So we can specifically get the Tabulated Parts Lists in the idws later.

Yes, to get your Structured BOM to export for an iAssembly, you need to create a new assembly and place the iAssembly you want & pick the member. Then use Bill of Materials and try to export like you've found. The reason is b/c the structured BOM is too complicated with all the member options available in the master file. So by placing it in a new assy, you are forcing it to focus on that 1 config. And I agree, it's not obvious with the way all the help information is written. Which why I'm replying, to give a different way to find the solution. 😉
