Export to AutoCAD DWG raster state issue

This issue started with the installation of Inventor 2025.  I have updated to build 241, release 2025.1.1 and the issue is still present.

I am unable to export to AutoCAD DWG if the drawing has an assembly in it.  I get the warning that raster views are not supported for this format.  My work around has been simply copying the views, pasting them into a new drawing and then I can export them without issue.  If the drawing is created from an IPT only, I can export it to AutoCAD DWG without issue.

Recently, I printed my drawing out (very rarely needed) and there was extra stuff.  Between the print, print preview, and export to PDF, I am able to see the raster views it warned me about, but I haven't found a way to delete them or stop them from being created in the first place.

My work flow is often importing multibody step files, making my sheet metal edits, and then creating components to have an assembly of these parts.  I create the flats there and the views in a drawing.  The attached model I had created a multibody ipt from scratch, then made components and had the same issue with the raster views.

Now that I have "found" the raster views, I am posting this here hoping someone has an answer to this.  I have searched this warning, but all mentions of it I have found were for older versions of Inventor, but some did sound like it happened with a new release of Inventor.  I tried some of those fixes but the only thing that worked is to copy and paste the views.

Attached are the .IPT, .IAM, .DWG, and screen shots of Inventor sheet 2 (no raster views seen), screen shot of print preview of sheet 2, and the exported PDF of both sheets.

Hi! The files are incomplete. Please also include -1, -2, and -3 ipt files. It could be a drawing view corruption issue. Try copying the sheets and paste them to a new drawing. Does the raster view appear?

Many thanks!

I updated the attached files to include the component ipt files.

I have copied the views to a new drawing and then I can export to AutoCAD DWG.  I have not tried to copy the entire sheets into a new drawing, though.

Hi! This is indeed a drawing with corrupted view ports. If you copy Sheet:2 and paste it to itself or a new dwg file, additional views will come up. These views are causing the export to fail.

Do you recall what you did to the drawing so that those view ports were hidden? Did you edit it in AutoCAD? What commands did you use?

Many thanks!

I did nothing to create the raster viewports to begin with, so I don't even know how one would make them hidden.

Did you edit it in AutoCAD?

  No, never opened in AutoCAD.

I have been doing this same workflow, 100% in Inventor for several years now, but as soon as I installed 2025, it has been doing this.

Hi! Are you using Replace Model Reference workflow or Copy Design workflow? Could you describe how you create a drawing typically?

Many thanks!

I am not familiar with either of those methods by name...In the assembly, I right click on the file name in the tree, then select Create Drawing.  The templates window then comes up and I select my template and I add my views.

Hi! Or maybe the template is corrupted already. Could you send me (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com) the drawing template file?

Many thanks!

Hello all!

Long time user, first time poster. I think I know why it's happening. I had this issue today. I like to put the part and the drawing on the screen at the same time and make changes to the part file by making changes to the parameters then clicking in the drawing (idw) window to see the changes to the dimension(s), but I noticed that the view would get the raster image green corner on it after, then go away. I think b/c I didn't let the part update in it's model space it turned the view into a raster image b/c the part wasn't actually updated. I also leave the parameter's editing window open the entire time.

This is just a theory, and I will if I can get it to happen again.
