Hi Group

If i want to export a face that has islands how do I do it? If i right click on any face in the model I can export the face as a dxf, but if I select more than one face I cant?

Correct. Only 1 face at a time for export "face"...
However if both these "faces" were created in a single sketch you can RMB on the sketch in the browser and pick "export sketch as"
My guess would be that typically the export face command was used for sheet metal parts and to export to dxf for programming and a sheet metal part won't have islands because then it would be 2 parts.

I'd do a workaround and create a new sketch on one face, project the other face (might have to make those sketch lines,etc..) and then export the sketch.
You bought CAM software that doesn't directly import Inventor parts?

my CAM does import inventor files, but somtimes I just want a flat 2d dxf file and i can get this a couple of ways, but It can't be that hard to export multiple faces on the same plane? I think this should be made available.
