Export exploded dxf files Inventor 2019

Hi

Is it possible for Inventor 2019 to export exploded DXF files? All DXF files I export now are "Pline".

I now need to open the DXF files in AutoCAD to explode them to be able to use them in a 3rd part program.

What are you trying to export?  There are different options depending on the file you're exporting.

I'm trying to export from a "standard.ipt" file.

See marked surfice.

I was afraid of that, as you see if you select options in the file dialog window the Mapping Options button isn't available for selection.  If you export a drawing as a dxf then you have the option of only exporting model geometry and Mapping Options might have the option you're looking for under the General tab.  Other than that, if you're exporting a sheet metal flat pattern, there is a check box for Merge Profiles into Polyline.

I'm sorry but i'm totally lost Smiley Happy Can't find anything of importance on the General tab in the option window.

I right click on the surfice (Profile/sketch) of the part I want to create a DXF file of, choose "Export Face As..." and save it as a DXF. When I open the DXF file, the contour is a polyline which gives me problems.

When you have the file dialog window, on the bottom is an Options button which takes you to another window for setting options, but the Export Face As grays out the Mapping Options button:

Maybe... It feels like you should be able to modify the "Exportdxf.ini" file.

You can select these files here. Or am I wrong? Smiley Frustrated
