Exponentiation function in fx

Hello, 

 

When i try for instance to calculate a area of a piston using fx i type in;

 

Invalve 1.jpg

 

When i press enter fx autmaticly corrects the equasion to;

Wich is obviusly not what i need. I try to correct the formula as follows;

Seems correct, but when i press enter the following happens;

 

Invalve 4.jpg

 

Am i doing sometihing wrong? Or is this a bug?

Hmm. Perhaps a bug.

Try that: ( Cilinder_bore ) ^ 2 oE * PI / 4 oE

Mmm,

 

It seems to do the trick

But, as a test, when i ad a piece before the equasion;

So it looks like the above and press enter, inventor changes it again.

(the answer is correct, but he formula is adjusted!?)

Hi Guys,

 

The behavior does not look logical. IT looks like a defect to me. I will report it as a defect and see what we can do.
