Event trigger not working

Hi.

I create itriger for the first time.

The event does not trigger any way.

If I create a new file, the rule will not run, and even the event trigger is removed from the list.

I am using external rule.

What am I doing wrong?

I am using latest version 2017.4.1

A simple  messagebox on external rule will not run.

It does run if it is internal rule.

MessageBox.Show("Test", "Error!")

Hi,

I'm not actually sure this is possible as I believe the itriggers only work at the document level.

To get around this you could add a rule to your document template file that is set to run the external rule, and have itrigger within the document rule.
