I am trying to edit a part that has a few model states. I worked just earlier today on it, now I can't change anything, here are the error:

"Excel installation is required for this operation. Failed to launch Excel."
I have Excel installed and working.
Have anyone experienced that?
Closed and opened Inventor, restarted my computer, nothing worked. I had to restore an old version file.

Hi! It seems that the Model States table is corrupted. It cannot be edited. Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way to salvage the data. It will need to be recreated

Many thanks!

Hi @johnsonshiue .

Do you know why this could happen?
and how can I prevent this from happening again?

Thanks.

Hi! I am sorry I don't know how the corruption happens. It is also possible it is a side effect of fixing the crash without addressing the corruption source. Do you have the last useable, editable copy? Do you remember what you change in between the versions?

Many thanks!
