Engraving in CAM problem.

Hello,

I have problems when engraving part number. After creating text box I can't select it as geometry. If there is any text written by hand, selection is made, but in wrong possition. Looks like "part number" has no data in it. Any solutions for this?

Inventor 2023 introduced a Marking feature for engraved text.

It looks like Inventor CAM offers some engraving support: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-cam/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2020/ENU/...

The CAM tool may require creating 3d geometry in the part.

Please post a sample part that shows the problem.  Screenshots help, but a part file has much more troubleshooting information.

Thanks for fast answer. I read all that help, but still didn't find the solution. When I use Marking text function the text in CAM apears like "exploded" geometry and I need to select each letter individually to engrave - so it makes very complicated when using large number of parts. If I use Mark Trough, then its only possible to select "closed geometry" letters like O,B etc. What I want to do is to find simple solution to mark part number which is taken from file data and engrave it. File added.
