Emboss Occurring on Both Sides of the Part

Hello! New to the forums and relatively new to Inventor but I have alot of modeling experience with other programs.

I am trying to emboss this shape onto the underside of this part

Which I can do, no problem

It create the correct shape like it supposed to, however, now on the top of the part, an error occurs where the same Emboss (half of it actually) shows up there too

I have tried multiple settings to get this to go away. It only happens when I do this emboss. It occurs both if I Wrap to Face (I was using the flat part of the bottom sphere) and when I don't wrap.

These are the emboss settings I am using.

Is there some setting that I need to deselect to stop this from happening? Or is it part of the emboss feature? Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi! I have seen this behavior before. I think it is a bug. Somehow Emboss is over eager to cover more faces than necessary. The quickest workaround is to use Split command to split the faces at the top. Then use Thicken command to cut out the dent. This process essentially is how it was done internally for Emboss. However, something was wrong in the way the target faces are detected. We have not found a good solution yet unfortuantely.

Many thanks!
