Elbows not showing up on Tube and Pipe Styles

Anonymous

Hello,

I wrote a post about the elbows that werent appearing on tube and pipe styles. After the last update it starts to work fine.

Now i noticed that there are some elbows from content center (OD-OD Elbows) that still dont appear on the Tube and Pipe Styles. I have 8 Elbows on Content Center (image 1) but only 3 of them appear on Tube and Pipe Styles (image 2).

In additction, some valves (safety valves) are showing up on Tube and Pipe Styles as Elbows (image 2)

Any idea whats happening?

You are using 2022 and it looks like a reoccurring issue.

Is the filter working correctly? If you remove the filter can you see all the elbows?

Hi,

Yes, I have the 2022.1 update. It solved the problem for some of the elbows (which I recently created by copying from a CC library to my custom library) but all the rest are not showing up (even those which already came on Inventor CC).

As you can see the pipes are fine (DIN, PARKER and CUSTOM Libraries active)

But the elbows are not showing up (only show up 3 and there are some safety valves which should not be there)

Thanks,

Hi João,

We may have a separate issue. If possible, please share an example (idcl file and T&P styles) that exhibits the behavior.

Many thanks!

Hello,

TP style allows to use as elbow also other "90 deg" components, like Tee. Using DIN library only you can try

TeeAsElbow.png

Working with your library, when defining new TP I see all 6 elbow families (one elbow family is 45 deg, that's why it is not in elbows list)

Hello

I seem to have the same problem on 2022.5.1. Inventor content center copied elbows not showing in Tube and Pipe Styles.

Hi @alexander.johansson8Z59S

You will need to select a pipe first as this will dictate the diameters to use. Currently no diameters in your drop down list. Once a diameter goes into the list the filter will then search for families with similar ND/DN. Have you tried the internal filters?

Pipe shows up.

But not the copy of the elbow!

alexanderjohansson8Z59S_6-1696234067402.png

I even restarted inventor in between.

I use this version of inventor:

And this Version of Vault:

I can see one copied Elbow family that I coped. that I coped more than two Inventor updates ago.

Hello all,

thank you for reporting this issue with visibility of copied families in T&P style. We are aware of it, it is tracked in our system as the INVGEN-72321. The issue is related to the decimal separator, most visible if you copy family while using comma as Windows decimal separator.

Workaround:

  • set decimal separator in Windows as dot (.)
  • make publish / Copy As of T&P elbow
  • set decimal separator back to comma (,)
  • work with comma as usual

Regards
