Hi,
I have recently created a company border and am trying to make some default styles to suit. When I open my drawing template the changes I have made to the styles are being overwritten by the default style library settings (along with a error message). I have read that this is because I have not updated these local changes into my styles manager, and when they do not match the default styles take preference.
Every tutorial I have found on the issue has been on Inventor, not Inventor LT, and all suggest changing the read only settings to read/write in the project file. Obviously LT doesn't have project files, so I found an alternative solution that suggests going to Application Options > File > Use Style Libraries and selecting NO. This option is also grayed out, and I am unable to figure out how to access this. Is this some sort of administrative block?
Although our company is a veteran AutoCAD user, this is our first time setting up and using Inventor. It's very important to start as we mean to go on and make sure the procedures/processes we use are the correct ones, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Rob.
p.s - I have just seen a video claiming that .idw and .dwg files both offer the same features for drawing, only, .dwg is compatible with more programs. We have no official drawings yet so now is a good time to decide which path to go down. Should we choose .dwg or .idw? Any suggestions??
