Hello,

If you hold Ctrl and select the profile then it will deselect that profile.

If you go to edit the Extrusion, after creating the Extrusion, make sure you click profile to activate it, then press Ctrl, and select profile.

Then it will deselect the profile.

Hope this helps?

Thanks I didin't know that but there are others issues that facing like this one: the horizontal and vertical relations was interchange so if i will use a vertical relation it will make the line horizontal and the horizontal relation will make the line vertical

Hello,

That will depend on the position of your view cube.

If you rotate your view cube so that Front writing is horizontal, the the horizontal constraint will be horizontal.

If you rotate the view cube once around, then the horizontal constraint will be vertical.

Like in the print screens below.

Thomas.

No, you are working in 3D world now.

Horizontal is related to the XYZ Cartesian coordinate system.

If you are on an XY sketch plane then X is Horizontal and Y is vertical (no matter how you rotate the view).

If you are on any other sketch plane (XZ or YZ ) then Z is the vertical and X or Y is the horizontal.

By following this convention - the sketch constraints are always consistent no matter how you rotate the view.

If you have the sketch Axis displayed - the thick axis is Horizontal and the thin axis is Vertical.  (no matter how you rotate the view)

Hi thanks yes i can understand you sir, if i will sketch in XY Plane the vertical and horizontal is correct but if i will sketch in the YZ Plane the relationship is interchange,

Do not use the View Cube as reference.

The View Cube can be changed - so it does not serve as a datum.

Use the Coordinate System glyph.

Can you trim your sketch

or

add sketch points at intersections to define your contours

or

attach your *.ipt file here?

Im using it as a reference because i will create the top parts as a separate parts then use save as to create the lower part as separate part also, Hmmm it's like a common line for editing two mating parts, I can use top down design but it causes error sometimes so i often use it thanks,
