Editing Diameter of Rotor

Dear all,

I am having some issues while trying to change my rotor diameter from 488mm to 300mm. I've converted the file from SolidWorks to Inventor 2017 and I don't know if there is any problem with that.

Do you have any sollution or advice for this case?

Thank you all,

Ricardo Andrade

It appears that you are attempting to edit a Driven dimension on projected geometry.

This doesn't work in Inventor or in SolidWorks.

Add a new circle with center at the center of  your projected circle and dimension with a Driving dimension.

or

Attach your *.ipt file here and end all doubt.

Cutting off the existing geometry perhaps makes not much sense.

Alternatively you can derive your imported solid into a new part and scale it down. There's a scaling option in the Derive menu

Dear Walter,

I've tried to do that but it appears an error, that is the following.

Thank you,

You have to Derive into a new part file.

I think there might also be a Scale in the 2017 Direct Edit as well, but I don't have Inventor open at the moment to check.

I'm trying to do so, but it does not change at all the diameter's dimension.

I've found the Solution!

3D Model -> Direct -> X Scale Factor.

Thank you all!
