We have recently started a project with many different-sized pins with different fits and feel like it would be beneficial for us to have the hole and shaft tolerances controlled by selecting the desired fit.
My new favorite tool has become the Tolerance menu when sketching pins and using the hole feature. I like how we can model a part nominally, select the desired fit, and the drawing will automatically calculate the correct tolerances allowed based on that fit. Not only does this seem like less calculation and manual work on our end, but it also documents how/why we called for those tolerances.
I like the "Limits/Fits-Show Size Limits" tolerance type, but I wish the standard and reference dimensions were flipped. Using the example below, I'd like it to read "2.3738/2.3726 (2.375 R7) THRU." Is there any way to edit or create tolerance styles in Inventor?
