Dynamic simulation - impact situation

Hi All 

I am trying to simulate a load falling and to retrieve the force when impacting a stop. I have attempted to use 2D and 3D contacts which have produced no results in terms of impact force.  

Is there a way to set up the simulation ion in which the force can be monitored when it impacts the stopper?

Hello @Anonymous do you have a simplified example with your setup that you can provide for community members to comment on further? 

With Dynamic Simulation it is easier to help with an existing assembly and how you have set it up already. If you can attach your parts with Pack & Go that would be helpful.

If you can't share them maybe show a screenshot or record a screencast of what you are trying to achieve and where you're getting stuck.
