Clarity of Assembly Degrees of Freedom

Can we have some clarity from the Degrees of Freedom found in Assemblies.

For example, I can't find any Legend within the various bit of documentation, it would be helpful.

How are we supposed to know which glyphs apply to which components ?

Or, is there a simple way of finding out ?

Is there anyway of checking the Asm-DoF of individual components of selected components within an assembly ?

What doesn't Asm-DoF show if Limits are applied to different constraints ?

Why can't we select a Asm-DoF and it'll tell us which component it applies to ?

Hi,

You can animate degrees of freedom. This will give you a list of components with linear and rotational degrees of freedom remaining, it will also animate the movement in the part.

I wasn't aware of the animated DoF tool within the  "productivity tools".

I've previously used View (tab) -> Visibility (panel) - DoF.

I know you can answer some of these questions, but hopefully an Adesk employee will be passing.

Why aren't they (DoF tools) collected together in the same place ?

Can the dialogue box be changed to a Window, insofar as the edges can be dragged to resize it.

When a component/part is selected in the box/window can it be highlighted in the assembly.

If a part/component is first selected and then that functionality chosen, will it just analyse that one component/part.

Can the relationships to other parts/components be shown in that dialogue box/window.

Can components/parts be grounded from that box/window and then the analysis re-run, so we can see the effects.

Can the result be exported to a M$ Word docx or similar so we can monitor the improvements.

Hopefully a young JeDI will be passing and do these changes before break fast
