DWG file export Options IV 2016 - Older file version

Exporting IDW to AutoCAD DWG the file version always comes up as AutoCAD 2013 Drawing as default.

I would like to set the default to version 2004 (Some of our client's preference)

In previous versions once set in the DWG file export options to 2004 version it stayed as default for the subsequent DWG exports

Not in IV 2016

In the Aplication Options I can set to previous Inventor DWG File Version but I can't find any AtoCAD DWG file version setting anywhere unless I'm missing something.

Thanks

Julian

Hello,

You mean the Application Options > Drawing > Inventor DWG File Version, right?
This options should change the version of the exported DWG file.
I tried setting it to AutoCAD 2013 and then when I opened the DWG file in a text editor, the first line was AC1027
I then tried to use AutoCAD 2004 and i got AC1018,

The AC10xx versions are as follows:
AC1015 = AutoCAD 2000
AC1018 = AutoCAD 2004
AC1021 = AutoCAD 2007
AC1024 = AutoCAD 2010
AC1027 = AutoCAD 2013

Based on the table te results should be what you want, no?
Also when I press OK/Apply the selected option is persisted.
I'm not sure I understand the problem, would you please specify in more detail?

I want to export to AutoCAD DWG format not Inventor DWG.

The application option setting allows Inventor DWG format setting only

See attached screen shots.

Comments from Autodesk are nice when they happen, but this is a peer support forum-- no guarantee of Autodesk participation.
