Dumb view to visualize a mirrored version

I need a drawing of a piping skid, and I need an identical skid, but a mirrored version. I need 1 view "As Drawn", and 1 View "Mirrored". To save some work, can I:

- copy a view

- break it's link with the model (make it dumb - just some lines remaining)

- enter the dumb view and mirror it

I suppose you could bring up the DWG in AutoCAD and mirror it.

Tried that , but it is messing with scaled Autocad blocks, so rather inside inventor

I highly doubt there is a way to create a dumb view.

I would suggest creating a new part, and then derive + mirror your part / assembly..

Thanks; I managed it by creating a new part and derive the assembly, but mirrored. Then added the extra view into the drawing.

PS: It still would be a lot easier by just right clicking a copied view and select "break link"
