Drawing Overlay in Section View

As much as it has been requested, almost begged, it seems that it is not yet available?
Is that really so?
If so, what is the best workaround in that case.
I see several options mentioned that are also labeled as fairly problematic.

We have a fairly simple hydraulic ramp in the middle of a platform of which we have to show different positions.
I don't know all the possibilities of Model States yet, can they offer a solution here?

Can't comment on model states, however you do raise a point that needs testing.

I use view representations, and have to place a Base view for each "Section view".

Hi! Unfortunately, the overlay section view is still not available. But, the ability to create overlay Model States is indeed on our radar. Please sign up Inventor Feedback Community and try out the latest testable build.

Hi johnsonshiue, 

I did some looking around in 2022.2 RC1 and 2023 Alpha.
I am unable to link Positional Representations to a Model State.
Unless I'm doing something wrong I'm missing in that sense what the mentioned option can offer regarding the lack of making a Positional Representation visible in a Section View.
Suggestions?

Of course overlay with model states is not available yet.

Glad I searched for this prior to spending alot of time trying to perform an overlay with model states.

Sounds like it is on the to do list.

Hi! On Inventor 2023, Overlay view does support Model States. If you have access to 2023, please try it out.
