Well, I kind of envy Inventor developers.

Don't get me wrong, it was really awesome! Diablo, Duke Nukem, QUAKE!
But in 2019, the official response - use Notepad.
WOW.
I remember custom Quake2 maps using the map editor and someone created a very detailed map of Frank Lloyd Wright's "Falling Water" and it was really cool to run around in.
I would love to model that place in inventor and export it as 3D meshes to import into a similar map editor today....I wonder if Autodesk Architectural products can do such detailed 3D walkthroughs.
....and yeah, I used to work for an Autodesk VAR who sold their own in house software and as a consultant, we had to give feedback to the developers in India correcting them on what was needed in the software....they werent engineers, designers or draftsmen....they were just software developers and as such would code it to be as easy and bulletproof for them. Usability for the customers however suffered sometimes until such issues could be rectified in the next release, it was painful
