Hello Everyone,

I am Minh.

I am having dificulty in drawing a round to square transition as shown in the attach file.

If anyone who know it well please show me the way to draw it.

Now you want to get flat pattern?

 

first identify how many component in this model? are this Table?

 

1 Flat Table?

2 legs?

 

I don't know what end of result of you 3D model. can you share a picture of 3D model that you made?

yes, I want to get flat pattern but it is error.

Please find my model as the attached file.

Please identify how many of you component in that model.

 

separate them in difference ipt.

don't force to get Flat Pattern in complex model that actually are assembly design.

 

and if still get error in each ipt, are the process only bend/rolling?

if there are punch process, you cant get flat pattern data. like this picture, this process will be punch.

Thank you so much for your support. 

there are 4 components in my model. In each component, I want to see it's flat pattern for cutting material. Do you know how to show the flat pattern of the component in the attached file. 

Please help me, thank you so much.

Accepted solution

Because you using Inventor 2017 and cant create multi solid in Sheet Metal

Use Derive:

 

1. Create new sheetmetal.ipt.

2. 3D model menu select Derive in Create Ribbon.

3. Select Surface

4. Set Sheet Metal Defaults (Thickness)

5. Use Thickness Feature

 

Remember: if you model there are complex design like my last picture, you cant create flat pattern.
